Luton Town v Wycombe Wanderers Betting Tip
Luton Town have made an excellent start to the League Two season and find themselves in second spot. Although they suffered two defeats on the trot at Stevenage in the league before succumbing to Leeds United in the cup, they have recovered well to pick up maximum points from the their last two games, both of which came in impressive performances away from Kenilworth Road.
Whilst their away form is arguably better than their home form, they are still yet to lose a league match in front of a home crowd this season so Nathan Jones will fancy his side’s chances.
In contrast to their opponents on Saturday, Wycombe Wanderers have had a pretty terrible start to the campaign and only have five points from the first five games which puts them in 19th.
Gareth Ainsworth’s team do not have a very good away record in the league this season, although to judge them after just two fixtures is perhaps a bit harsh, and you worry for them going into this tough match against the Hatters.
However, the Chairboys will take confidence from their convincing 3-0 away win against League One Northampton Town in the EFL Trophy. Having said that, the newly-promoted Cobblers have not started life particularly well this season so it was not a complete surprise when they lost to Wycombe.
Bookies offer Evens on a Luton win here and I do not think punters can complain too much about that. Luton have looked a much better side than their opponents today and backing the hosts to win here looks like a good bet.
