The international break is generally a time of disappointment for football fans as they lose out on their club football fix. However, there are still some exciting clashes in the Football League to keep us entertained and this should be one of them.

Taking the midweek cup battering by League One Bury out of the equation, Morecambe have had an incredible start to the season and sit top of League Two. Manager Jim Bentley has tried to quash expectations and encouraged players to keep their feet on the ground. However, for Shrimps fans it must be difficult not to dream of playing in League One – something the club has never done before.

Additionally, with the recent announcement of a takeover by Brazilian Diego Lemos, there could be some much needed investment on the horizon which will allow Morecambe to push to the next level.

You could not have asked for a more mixed set of results from Leyton Orient to start their season. Andy Hessenthaler’s side have drawn one, lost two and won two which leaves them tenth in the league. The East Londoners will have been disappointed to have missed out on last season’s playoffs given they were only relegated from League One the season before.

With this league looking more competitive with every year it would not surprise me if Orient did not match last season’s eighth place finish

Furthermore, it was announced on Friday that club stalwart Dean Cox has had is contract terminated by mutual consent after a bad injury back in November 2015.

With all of the above in mind I am not sure why the bookies have gone against Morecambe here. To me this is pretty much a nailed-on victory for the Shrimps and is certainly a big winner at 13/5.
