Embiid’s health a big concern for the 76ers

The 76ers are another team that are being affected by injuries in the playoffs. Their star man Joel Embiid is playing with a torn knee cartilage and it’s limiting the big Camerounian’s contribution to his team’s games in the series. Embiid scored 17 points and collected 21 rebounds. He spent time in the locker room to nurse his knee.

The 76ers blew an 18 point lead in the second quarter when Embiid left the court. Seth Curry and Tobias Harris scored 17 and 20 points respectively but that wasn’t enough to stop the Hawks’ comeback as Curry missed a game-tying three-pointer on the buzzer at the end of the game.

76ers Key Points

  • The 76ers are averaging 117 points per game in the series
  • 52% is the 76ers’ field goal average
  • Philadelphia have an average of 50 rebounds per game in the series

Atlanta Hawks with a huge comeback in the series and in game four

The Hawks had no other choice than to win game four at the State Farm Arena after losing game three and trailing the series by 2-1. Coach McMillan’s team have profited from Joel Embiid’s injury as the giant center’s scoring numbers have dropped.

Trae young once again was at the center of this win for the Hawks despite having his shoulder taped but that didn’t stop the Hawks’ point guard from scoring 25 points and helping his team with 18 assists. The hawks amazingly had just four turnovers in the match. They fought hard and didn’t give up when the 76ers opened an 18 point gap and deserved the win.

Hawks Key Points

  • The Hawks are averaging 111 points per game in the series
  • 44% is the Hawks field goal average
  • Trae Young is the leading scorer for the Hawks with 27 points per game

Philadelphia 76ers vs Atlanta Hawks Prediction

It all depends on Joel Embiid’s injury and how much more he can play for his team. Coach Doc Rivers said he would keep him on the team even if he’s injured showing how crucial Embiid is to his coach’s plans.

With the series heading back to Philadelphia, Rivers will hope to get help from other players like Curry, Simmons, and Harris, to ease off the pressure from Embiid.

If Trae Young is healthy in game five, the Hawks can be a big threat to the 76ers. The Hawks had won the first game of the series in Philadelphia and they feel they are capable of repeating.

It is difficult to predict the winner of this match as so many factors are affecting the end results especially injuries. We think the 76ers will win even if Embiid is not at his best since they were ahead in game four by 18 points and in their court, they will be helped on by their fans.
