Sevilla – Athletic Bilbao. Alexander Vishnevskiy’s prediction
Sevilla are astoundingly good at home. Only the last home match against Real Sociedad interrupted the 17-game winning streak that Unai Emery’s team had been on at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. During the streak, Sevilla beat Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and Villarreal. Athletic were among the beaten teams, losing 2:0 in the league.
But it’s not about winning tonight for Sevilla, it’s about getting into the semifinals after a comfortable 2:1 away win in the first leg.
Despite how bleak things may look for the visitors, I am confident Athletic will not give up without a fight. The Basques can oppose Sevilla with great headers from Aduriz and Raul Garcia. But Sevilla will have chances to catch the guests out on the counterattack.
I think this will be a double-edged game with plenty of chances to score, so I’m betting on over 2.5 goals.
