After beating Crystal Palace and Chorley with the same scoreline of 1-0, Wolves qualified to the 5th round of the FA Cup. They met with Southampton at home in November in the Premier League and drew 1-1.
Wolves are unbeaten at home in the FA Cup in six matches. They are not having good results in the Premier League though with just one win in ten games. They have scored just two goals in four matches and that was against a nine men Arsenal team.
The Saints are also in a terrible form losing each of their last four matches in the league. Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl must have concerns over his defense as they let in 16 goals in the last five matches.
To reach the 5th round Southampton had to beat Shrewsbury 2-0 and Arsenal 1-0. The Saints have won the FA Cup once in 1976 and were runners up three times. Their fans would love a good run in this competition.
- Wolves are unbeaten in two home matches in the league.
- Southampton have no wins in their last five away matches.
Wolves vs Southampton Prediction
Both of these teams are relatively secure from relegation and have almost no chance of qualifying for Europa league next season. They are both in mid table and playing to maintain their positions.
We think they will give all they have for this match and try to advance to the next round and see how far they can go in the competition.
We predict both teams to score in this match.
