Serie A leaders Juventus are monitoring Borussia Dortmund’s Henrik Mkhitaryan with a view to filling the missing playmaking role in their squad.

The Bianconeri have been scouting the market in the past two transfer windows for an offensive midfielder, but have failed to find the right addition to their playing staff.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the reigning Serie A champions have now decided that the 27-year-old Armenian international is the man to add creativity and unpredictability to their attack.

The midfielder’s agent, Mino Raiola, has a good working relationship with the Turin side since the arrival of Paul Pogba at the club and could facilitate the deal while Real Madrid’s Isco and Chelsea midfielder Oscar as being lined up as alternatives.

Mkhitaryan has been in a stunning form during this season, scoring 10 goals and laying on 13 assists  during 26 Bundesliga appearances.
