Marco Reus is in contention to make the matchday squad for Borussia Dortmund's meeting with relegation-threatened Hamburg on Saturday (kick-off: 15:30CET/14:30GMT).

Latest

BVB head coach Peter Stöger is yet to make a definitive decision on Reus, but a place on the substitutes' bench is a distinct possibility for the Germany midfielder, who has been out of action since last May with a serious knee injury. Mario Götze is also in line for a return after missing the 3-2 win at Cologne with a back problem, but left-back Raphael Guerreiro is a major doubt. Chelsea loanee striker Michy Batshuayi is expected to lead the line following his match-winning debut in Cologne, with support coming from Christian Pulisic and Andre Schürrle. England prodigy Jadon Sancho has been ruled out.

Sweden midfielder Albin Ekdal was a surprise inclusion in the starting line-up for Hamburg's dramatic 1-1 draw at home to Hannover - a result that made it two points from as many games for new head coach Bernd Hollerbach. The former HSV defender will be forced into at least once change for the trip to Dortmund, however, with Kyriakos Papadopoulos suspended following his sending off for two bookable offences last time out. HSV could switch to a three-man defence, but USA striker Bobby Wood - without a goal in 15 matches - is set to make his 50th Bundesliga appearance.

Probable line-ups

Dortmund: Bürki – Pisczcek, Sokratis, Toprak, Toljan – Kagawa, Weigl, Dahoud – Pulisic, Batshuayi, Schürrle
Absentees: Durm (ankle), Yarmolenko (tendon), Sancho (ankle)

Hamburg: Mathenia – Van Drongelen, Jung, Sakai – Diekmeier, Hunt, Ekdal, Walace, Douglas Santos – Wood, Kostic
