Bournemouth beat Nottingham Forest to return to the Premier League

Bournemouth are back in the Premier League. Two seasons after their relegation, the Cherries have managed to return to the English top flight after defeating Nottingham Forest 1-0.

Bournemouth won with a solitary goal by Kieffer Moore in the 83rd minute in the decisive match of the penultimate day of the Championship.

Following Fulham's promotion several rounds ago, Bournemouth were at home to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night knowing a win would see them join the Cottagers.

With a three-point lead over the two-time European champions, a win was enough to send the Cherries back to the English Premier League, while a draw would have left everything to the last matchday.

A defeat would have left Nottingham Forest second in the standings and as promotion favourites going into the final matchday.

In the end it was Moore's goal that decided it and Nottingham Forest will have to play for promotion in the play-offs.
