Defender John Boye is making steady progress to regaining full fitness in Stade Rennes’ pre-season training.

The 25-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in the club’s friendly game against Lorient last Saturday.

The whole team has been relocated to the town of Guichen, about twenty kilometers from Renne to intensify their preparations towards the start of the new season.

All the players with the exception of a few carrying injuries (including Boye) have been involved in full scale training.

The injured players are however restricted to bicycle riding exercises as the team’s medical department and physios monitor their progress.

It is readily unknown how long the former Heart of Lions man will be out especially with Ghana’s friendly with China and the 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Malawi on the horizon.
