SV Damstadt 98 forward Braydon Manu says he is hurt after his side missed several chances in their 3-2 defeat to SV Sandhausen in the German Bundesliga II last Saturday.

Damstadt took the lead through Mathias Honsak in the 19th minute, but spurned chances to take a two goal lead before Daniel Keita-Ruel netted twice in the first half to give Sandhausen the lead.

Manu was replaced in the 58th minute as the host extended their lead, but a final minute comeback only saw Damstadt pull one back from the spot.

"That hurts," said Manu after the final whistle. “We should have decided the game in the first half.”

"If I take the ball with me better with the first contact, I can finish with the second," said the 23-year-old.

Keita-Ruel's second goal of the game was from a penalty conceded by the German born Ghanaian, Manu.

"I didn't even notice that I got the ball in my hand. We were on the attack. At first I thought there was something about those in the penalty area. Then the referee informed me, ”said Manu. “Happened, went stupid. But the world is not going to end. "
