Ghanaian midfielder Braydon Manu is steering SV Darmstadt 98 promotion into the German Bundesliga with scintillating and eye-popping performances. The 25-year-old has been a key cog of the Bundesliga 2 side this season as they lie second on the table behind Schalke 04.The Ghana midfielder scored for Darmstadt in their 6-0 win against Aue in the Bundesliga II on Sunday.

It was the fourth goal of the season for the Ghana international in 19 appearances after being named in the Kicker's Bundesliga II team of the week.

Manu's exceptional form has established him as one of the hugely talented players in the German second-tier as they inch closer to the Bundesliga.

Darmstadt 98 has promotion to the Bundesliga in their own hands with two matches left to spare.

With three goals and three assists as well as many good performances, Manu has been a mainstay of the Darmstadt's rise this season.

Manager Torsten Lieberknecht has hailed the impact of the Ghanaian in his side's promotion drive this term.

“Braydon brings an incredible heart. Sometimes it's not what the coach says. But sometimes it helps." he said.

The Ghanaian has spoken highly on the coach, who has allowed him to operate freely

“He lets me be who I am. That's probably the key for me," Manu told the "FAZ".

The offensive man describes himself as a "surprise package" because of his often unpredictable style of play and thus fits perfectly into a team that is unexpectedly on the rise.
