Barcelona teenager Ansu Fati has become the youngest ever scorer in the history of the UEFA Champions League, taking the enviable record away from Ghanaian Peter Ofori Quaye.

Fati broke the record on Tuesday night when he scored the winner as Barcelona secured a 2-1 win against Kwadwo Asamoah's Inter Milan. The win also knocked out the Italian side.

Ofori-Quaye achieved the record when he found the net aged 17 years and 195 days for Olympiacos against Rosenborg in October 1997.

He held onto the record since then until December 10, 2019, as Fati, 17 years and 40 days smashed the record.

Quaye's record stood for 22 years.
