GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal that Danish trainer Klavs Rasmussen has tendered in his resignation letter as head coach of Ghana Premier League side WAFA.

Details as to why he quit are scanty but deep throat sources in WAFA have revealed to GHANASoccernet.com that Rasmussen has left for his native Denmark.

Rasmussen is believed to have run away from post following the poor run of results.

WAFA have failed to record a win in their last five matches, drawing only one and losing four.

Rasmussen was chasing for the coach of the season last season after guiding the Academy side to finish second in the Ghana Premier League.

WAFA made a bright start to the season with a draw against Kotoko at Sogakope and a 3-1 lashing of Liberty Professionals at Dansoman before beating Aduana Stars 2-0 at home.

Assistant coach Moro Ibrahim will, therefore, take charge as the acting coach of the side until a substantive one is named.
