Egypt have been given the nod to host the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations replacing Cameroon who were stripped of the right few months ago.
CAF were to choose between Egypt and South Africa, the only two countries who submitted their bids to host the flagship tournament in June, 2019.
On Tuesday, in a CAF Executive Council meeting in Dakar, Senegal, Egypt polled more votes to become the emergency hosts this year's event.
The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations will for the first time involve 24 teams and also played in June and not the traditional January.
