Ghana defender Kasim Nuhu arrived in Germany on Tuesday afternoon to seal his deal with top-flight side Hoffenheim, Ghanasoccernet.com can reveal.

The 23-year-old, who plays for Swiss champions Young Boys, touched down in the scorching summer sun before making his way to the training camp of the Bundesliga side.

He was shown around Hoffenheim's Olympic training center in Heidelberg before being taken to his hotel ahead of the switch which is expected to be completed by Thursday.

Nuhu will sign a three-year contract with the ambitious if all the formalities go through without a hitch.

The powerful centre-back will undergo a thorough medical check on Wednesday and if he passes the health check he will seal the contract with the UEFA Champions League campaigners.

Young Boys were reluctant to release the key player that helped him win the title last season after six clubs expressed interest in the towering player.

But after Hoffenheim topped all the clubs with an offer of about 9 million Euros, they agreed to allow the Ghanaian to travel to Germany for the medical.

English sides Southampton and Newcastle United were among some of the club chasing the strong player as well as French giants Marseille and Lyon.

His impressive showing for Young Boys where he scored two goals and made 32 appearances looks to have raised the eyebrows of some of the top sides in Europe.
