The launch of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League has been cancelled following a court injunction.

Officials of the Premier League Board held an emergency meeting on Monday evening and concluded the planned launch should be terminated.

The league which was scheduled to kick off this weekend, has been placed in a state of doubt after Great Olympics served the Ghana FA an injunction letter today in protest of Bechem United fielding an unqualified against them last season.

"We have served the GFA general secretary, Ike Addo with a Motion on notice from court," Oloboi told Happy FM.

"We were represented by a team of strong lawyers, led by former Attorney General BETTY Maud IDRISU,the rest were, Peter Zwenes, Kofi Bentil,Alfred Banaman, R.O Solomon, Kwesi Austin and Amarkai Amarteyefio."
