BREAKING NEWS! Hearts of Oak goalkeepers' coach Ben Owu resigns

Published on: 15 February 2021

Hearts of Oak goalkeepers' coach Ben Owu has resigned from his post with immediate effect just minutes after the departure of the club's head coach.

Head coach Kosta Papic left the club on Monday after tendering in his resignation letter to the board of directors following a meeting.

Owu cited personal reasons for his resignation but GHANAsoccernet.com understands the former Ghana goalkeeper is unhappy about Papic's exit.

Owu joined the Hearts of Oak in December 2019 from AshantiGold SC after his four years spell with the Miners came to an end.

He has rich experience on the local scene having been goalkeepers' coach for Sekondi Hasaacas, Medeama SC and King Faisal Babes.

Owu becomes the 3rd person to leave his post in the Hearts of Oak technical department as assistant coach Asare Bediako also resigned last week.
