Michael Akuffo replaces Jackson Owusu in Ghana's starting line-up to face Libya
Ghana coach Maxwell Konadu has been forced to make one change to his starting line-up against Libya on Friday afternoon by replacing Jackson Owusu with Michael Akuffo due to injury, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.Â
The Berekum Chelsea defensive midfielder has picked up a hamstring injury and cannot be fielded against the North Africans in the top-of-the-table Group C clash at the Free State Stadium.
Akuffo was a regular in the starting line-up for Ghana when they lifted the Wafu Nations Cup on home soil last year.
He is captain of defending Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko.
Captain Jordan Opoku, who is his clubmate, will be his partner in midfield.
Goalkeeper Stephen Adams maintains his position between the sticks and will be shielded by defenders Kwabena Adusei, Nuru Sulley, Joshua Tijani and Godfred Saka.
Medeama winger Theophilus Anobaah will operate from the left and Richard Mpong raided in from the right.
Sulley Mohammed leads the attack once again and will be supported by Yahaya Mohammed.
