Ghanaian midfielder Michael Essien scored his first goal for Real Madrid in the 4-0 win over Real Zaragoza in the Spanish top-flight on Saturday.
The 29-year-old registered the third goal for Mourinho's side in the 89th minute to add to Angelo Di Maria and Gonzalo Higuain's first half strikes.
Substitute Karim Benzema laid a defence-splitting pass for Essien who latched onto the ball and outrun his marker to calmly slot behind Roberto Jiménez, the Zaragoza keeper.
Essien was reverted to his traditional holding role in midfield and he overly impressed in the game.
