Sulley Muntari has been handed his first 2010 World Cup start as he has replaced suspended Dede Ayew in Ghana's starting line up to face Uruguay in Friday night.

Injury doubts over defender Hans Sarpei and Kevin Prince has been quashed as both players we also named in the starting team for the quarter final game.

Isaac Vorsah returns to the Black Stars starting line-up to replace Jonathan Mensah who has been suspended for accumulating yellow cards.

But the big beneficiary remains Muntari who lost his place to the youngster Ayew at the start of the tournament in South Africa.

With Ayew also suspended, Muntari has been named among Ghana's starting team to play the South Americans in Johannesburg.

Apart from those changes, the Black Stars remain the same from the starting team that played against the United States on Saturday.

Samuel Inkoom maintains his position on the right wing while John Pantsil is the right back.

With Muntari taking the left wing place, he is expected to offer support to Sarpei who was a massive injury doubt for the game.

Vorsah will partner captain John Mensah in the heart of the defence while Boateng and Anthony Annan will remain in central midfield.

Asamoah Gyan will play as the lead striker with Kwadwo Asamoah playing just behind him while Richard Kingson maintain his place in goal.

Line up: Richard Kingson, John Paintsil, Hans Adu Sarpei, Isaac Vorsah, John Mensah, Anthony Annan, Samuel Inkoom, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Asamoah Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah, Sulley Muntari
