Breaking News: Popular Kotoko management chief Edmund Ackah resigns

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko suffered a big blow on Thursday when highly respected management member Edmund Ackah resigned from the administration.

He did not give any reasons for his resignation but insiders have told Ghanasoccernet.com he quit the management after several internal wrangles.

Dr Kwame Kyei's leadership of the team has come in for some criticism over his stlye but Ackah refused to reveal whether it was part of the reasons why he is leaving the administration.

The man highly respected for his knowledge of the rules of football which recently helped them to avoid them being docked point for fielding an unqualified player.

Despite his decision to leave the management of the team, Ackah insists he is still a supporter of the former African champions.

"It's true that I have resigned as a member of the current management of Asante Kotoko," Mr. Ackah told Oyerepa FM

"I can't work with them again but still a supporter of the club. I tendered my resignation today."

Ackah worked with his home town club Medeama before moving to Kotoko be there will be lots of clubs looking for his services.

He is also a popular football analyst on radio.
