Brighton confirm a SECOND player has contracted coronavirus

Published on: 02 April 2020

A second Brighton player has tested positive for coronavirus, the Premier League club have confirmed.

The unnamed player is recovering at home and feeling fine, while the rest of Graham Potter's squad remain in isolation on the south coast.

It comes a week after Brighton first revealed that one of their playing squad had fallen victim to the pandemic.

CEO Paul Barber said last week that three players had been tested after showing possible symptoms of coronavirus.

One player returned positive results but is now back to full health.

Then on Thursday Barber said another player had since tested positive, though they too were recovering well.
