Bristol's Adomah and Watford start Buaben on Ghana stand-by

Ghana have handed a rare opportunity to two England-based players Albert Adomah and Prince Buaben to train with the Black Stars next month.

Coach Goran Stevanovic wanted to call 20 player for the match against Nigeria on 9 August but budgetary constraints means only 18 players have been called so far.

A meeting between the Ghana FA board and the Black Stars technical team will meet on Monday to see if these two players could be added to the squad.

Stevanovic wants to observe the two players before deciding whether they will be needed for future matches.

Even if the Ghana FA insists on maintaining its budget for the game, the  two players will be invited to be seen by the coach in London.

Buaben will be seeking to return to seal a place in the competitive midfield while Adomah, a speedy winger with Bristol City, is fighting for his place for the first time.

GHANAsoccernet.com got the full18-man squad exclusively on Sunday.
