Buffon: Bayern have no weaknesses

Published on: 22 February 2016

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is expecting a difficult game when the Bianconeri come up against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Despite the Old Lady’s run to the final of the competition last season, they will enter the match in Turin as underdogs.

“I am expecting a complicated game,” Buffon told reporters during the pre-game press conference.

“They are a very strong team with no weaknesses. We are improving. In the last four or five years we have learned to consolidate our place in Europe.

“Bayern are a team that have dominated at home for the last five or six years. They have always been one of the contenders for trophies in Europe, too.

“They are one of the strongest teams in Europe. We will try to go to ensure we can play the return match with the possibility of qualifying. Its like a semi-final in terms of the difficulty of the game.”
