On Wednesday, Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen were defeated 2-1 at home by second division Karlsruhe in the German Cup.

Leverkusen, who sit fourth in the Bundesliga league, were startled when Choi Kyoung-rok of South Korea scored the game-winning goal in the second-round tie.

Iker Bravo, a 16-year-old Spanish striker recruited from Barcelona in the summer, made a disastrous start for Leverkusen when he came off the bench and missed two excellent chances.

Bravo, who made his Leverkusen debut last year at the age of 16 years, nine months and 15 days, became the club's youngest player, surpassing teammate Florian Wirtz, who made his debut at the age of 17 months and 15 days.
