Interviewed by Sport Bild, 33-year old French striker Anthony Modeste, back as a FC Köln powerhouse, with six goals scored, so far, in nine Bundesliga matches played, looked back to his unfruitful Saint-Etienne loan spell, dating back to last season, and commented upon being in very good terms with his current manager, Steffen Baumgart:
"He understood me from day one. He sees that I'm working. He trusts me, and lets me play. And I pay back every coach who trusts me. After my latest Ligue 1 season, I was very happy that I still had a contract in Cologne. Because one thing was clear: After a season like the one I had in France, it would have been difficult to find an interested club anywhere".
