Reviewing RB Leipzig latest defeat against his former club, Bayer Leverkusen, 31-year old Slovenian international midfielder Kevin Kampl stated:
"Our disappointment right now is high. We wanted to win tonight and take this chance to move up the table and surpass Leverkusen. Having come off such a big win against Brugge, of course this is a set-back. We weren't aggressive enough in front of goal, lost possession too often and gave Leverkusen easy chances to counter. With the pace they have in their squad, they are one of the best counter-attacking sides in the Bundesliga.
Our current position in the table is obviously not where we want to be. We want to move up the table, but we can only do that as a team. We have a great squad, and I'm confident that we will get more consistent. We now need to all roll up our sleeves and get to work, so that we lift ourselves up the table together".
