BUNDESLIGA - Wolfsburg, Josuha Guilavogui: "There was interest"

Published on: 05 October 2021

Some clubs had Josuha Guilavogui from VfL Wolfsburg on the list in the previous transfer phase. "There weren't any specific offers, but there were a few clubs that were interested," explains the 31-year-old in an interview with the 'Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung'.

According to the report, Watford FC, Venice FC, Dinamo Moscow and several clubs from Qatar were on the defensive midfielder.

As is well known, there was no change. Also because Wolfe sports director Jorg Schmadtke put an end to a potential farewell early on. However, Guilavogui is not angry at his boss's word of power: "I stayed and I'm happy about it, because I play more than last year."

On 8 August 2014 VfL Wolfsburg signed Guilavogui on a two-year loan deal from eMadrid with an option of a permanent transfer included in the deal.

The club exercised their option to buy on 18 May 2016 and signed Guilavogui permanently on a three-year deal for a fee of €3m.
