BUNDESLIGA – Wolfsburg, Maxence Lacroix’s release clause revealed

After signing fresh contract terms with Wolfsburg until June 2025, Maxence Lacroix’s release clause at the club has been revealed by German media, According to Sky Germany, the highly-rated Frenchman has a €40m release clause that becomes active next summer.

Lacroix was linked with many clubs including RB Leipzig in the recently concluded transfer window, offers which were rejected without second thought by Die Wolfe.

In a recent interview with Kicker, he said: "I was a bit angry. It was hard for me. I'm young, it was the first time for me that several offers came in for me. I wanted the transfer. But now, I'm here, playing in the Champions League, we just beat Leipzig, and we're top of the Bundesliga. It's perfect, I'm happy. I'm 100 percent here."
