Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman Badu has expressed his disappointment after losing on his Turkish Super Lig debut with Bursaspor on Friday.

Badu, who received his working permit less than 24 hours before the clash, came on in the final 20 minutes of Bursaspor 1-0 defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir courtesy  a 21st minute strike by Elia.

He was deployed at an unusual right back position but impressed due to his versatility.

The 26 year old joined the Turkish side on loan from Italian side Udinese after seven years in the Serie A.

“It was a good game for me personally but on the team loss was painful,” he told Ghanasportsonline.com.

“I had to play at right-back in the last 20 minutes because the player had cramps.”

The Ghanaian was issued with his working permit just 24 hours before the game.

Agyeman Badu stated earlier in the week he snubbed clubs from England to join the Turks because he wanted more play time.
