Businessman Kenpong promises Kotoko players cash reward to beat Hearts
Kennedy Agyepong has promised to pay 4,000 Ghana cedis to Kotoko players if they beat Hearts.

Former Kotoko vice-chairman Kennedy Agyapong has promised to pay Kotoko players a 4,000 Ghana Cedi winning bonus if they beat rivals Hearts on Sunday.

Agyapong is the CEO of Kenpong Group of Companies which includes Kenpong Airlines, Kenpong Communication Ltd and Kenpong Construction.

The businessman, who is a benefactor to the club, wants to motivate the players to win the week 24 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.

"The promise is my own little way of gingering up the Kotoko players and technical officials to rise to the big occasion" Agyapong, popularly known as Capuccino, told the Daily Graphic yesterday.

"I know what a win over Hearts on Sunday can do for Kotoko. It will enhance their league title defence and, therefore, will push for it.

"And they will then go on to fight for the MTN/FA Cup in addition. I mean the chance to win the double for the first time in the club’s history is there."

Last season, the former director of the club, bore the away expenses of the club.

Kotoko are third on the Ghana Premier League table; one point behind joint leaders Medeama and Berekum Chelsea.
