C.K Akonnor to name first Black Stars squad next week

Ghana Coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor will name his first Black Stars squad next week for his maiden international duty.

The new Black Stars Coach has been in Europe for almost a month now monitoring Ghanaian players.

And will return to Ghana on Wednesday to start preparations for the AFCON 2021 qualifier against Sudan next month.

Akonnor will name his squad next week, before the international break.

The 45-year old has been in England, Belgium and Spain, where he monitored several players including French born Ghanaian Elisha Owusu.

Other players the gaffer met are the Ayew brothers, former England youth international Tarique Fosu and Belgium born whizkid Jeremy Doku.

Ghana will play Sudan on March 27 in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

The ex-Black Stars captain will be expected to name his squad for the AFCON qualifier next month.
