CAF appoints Abdel Moneim Bah as General Secretary

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Abdel Moneim Bah as the new General Secretary of the continent's governing body.

The Moroccan succeeds Moaz Hajji who resigned from the job.

The appointment was done on Tuesday as CAF held its meeting with the Executive Council to discuss issues amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Abdel Moneim Baah takes over from Abdel-Moneim Bah who acted as General Secretary since March this year.

Abdel Moneim Baah appointment was strongly supported by President Ahmad Ahmad.

CAF has appointed Moroccan Ali Al-Issawi to replace Abdel Moneim Baah as Chairman of the Marketing Committee.

Abdel Moneim Bah has served as Director of Tele-Marketing for CAF since June 2018.
