Ghana will wear black armbands in the quarter-final match of the Africa Cup of Nations against Tunisia on Sunday in Franceville in memory of the passing Anthony Annan's mother.

This comes after the Confederation of African Football approved the Ghana Football Association's request to have the Black Stars wear black armbands for the game.

Madam Sophia Sampson, passed away on Thursday in a hospital in Cape Coast, Ghana, after falling sick earlier in the day.

The GFA and the players of the Black Stars are keen on this gesture to honour the woman.
