Policy analyst of Asante Kotoko Yaw Amoh Sarpong has expressed disappointment in the National Sports Authority (NSA) over their poor maintenance of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Kotoko have been issued a strong warning by CAF over the current condition of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium where the club is using as match venue during their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

Several media reports indicate that the continent's football governing body has written to the Porcupine Warriors to take appropriate measures to ensure the venue is in good condition to host CAF Confederation Cup matches.

The Reds have been instructed to put the edifice in a better shape before they commence their Group C matches at the venue or shift their home matches to a different venue.

"To be very honest with you there are some issues when you want to go into it,you will turn out to be enemy of the authority," Mr Sarpong told Oyerepa FM.

"This is because the amount we pay for stadium maintenance in our Africa Campaign is huge that by the time we finish the matches for the Confederations Cup it can change chairs at the stadium."

"We pay stadium maintenance and a supporter finds it difficult to sit because the chairs are mar ,things are not working at the wash rooms, counters not working."

"If we should give the figures we contribute to stadium maintenance out, they will be forced to do things right."

"They will do a lot of changes, recently they are trying to put things in shape, they have changed the air-conditions, have painted the place but the long and short is that,it's not going the way we want it to."

Kotoko will kick-start their campaign with a trip to Omdurman to face Al Hilal on Sunday, February 3, before welcoming Zambian side ZESCO United on matchday two.
