CAF Confederation Cup: Asante Kotoko set to leave Ghana for Zambia ahead of Nkana clash today

Published on: 20 February 2019

Asante Kotoko will leave Ghana for Zambia for the game against Nkana FC on Wednesday afternoon.

The team has been in Accra since Monday but will arrive at the Kotoko International Airport at 8:30 am.

Their flight will leave at 12:30 am for Ethiopia before they continue the journey to Zambia.

Coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has named an 18-man squad for the game on Sunday. The team is missing injured midfielder Richard Senanu.

Asante Kotoko have been impressive in the CAF Confederation Cup this season, having reached the group stages of the competition for the first time since 2008.

The Porcupine Warriors defeated Zesco United 2-1 last Wednesday and a win or draw against Nkana FC will be crucial to their chances of qualifying for the quarter finals of the competition.
