CAF CONFEDERATION CUP: Black Stars coach Avram Grant watched Medeama's 3-1 lashing of Yanga FC

Black Stars head coach Avram Grant watched Medeama SC's 3-1 lashing of Tanzanian side Young Africans in the CAF Confederation Cup group game at the Sekondi Essipong Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

A brace from Abass Mohammed in addition to Daniel Amoah's early goal handed the Ghanaian side their first victory in the competition after four matches.

Grant was in the company of his assistant Maxwell Konadu and Local Black Stars chief scout Ebenezer Sefa during Medeama's victorious afternoon in Takoradi.

The Black Stars coach who returned to Ghana after a short stay in London watched he Black Satellites game against Tanzania as well as the SUPER CLASH between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.

The win has reignited the hopes of the Mauves to qualify to the next stage of the competition as they okay their next game at home.

The Tarkwa-based side had lost their opening group game to TP Mazembe drawing their subsequent clashes with MO Bajaia and Yanga in Tanzania.

The win means the Miners are now third in the group with five points behind TP Mazembe and MO Bajaia who will be clashing tomorrow.
