CAF Confederation Cup: Draw with Al Hilal felt like a defeat- Kotoko coach C.K Akonnor

Asante Kotoko coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor is disappointed by his side's 1-1 draw with Al Hilal in the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday.

Striker Sogne Yacouba rescued a point for the Porcupine Warriors with four minutes left in Kumasi to keep their chances of reaching the quarter finals alive.

Coach C.K Akonnor was not "happy" with his players attitude ahead of the match and felt the result was more of a defeat than a point picked.

“Throughout the week, we weren’t ourselves. Honestly I don’t know what happened but Konte (Bonsu) who has been the been the engine of the team wasn’t himself today,' he said after the game.

“We really suffered in the game. It felt like a defeat. Now we have to go to Zambia and win,” he added.

“No Coach would be happy with the results. We kept losing key players in the team. Sometimes it difficult."

“We have to go to Zambia and win whatever the situation. Those who are injured are injured. We have to make do without them,” he concluded.
