Dreams FC coach, Abdul Karim Zito believes his team suffered from inexperience during the 3-0 defeat to Zamalek in the semi-final of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Having returned from Egypt after a goalless draw in the first leg, the Still Believe lads were confident ahead of the game in Kumasi but things fell apart conceding two-quick fire goals in the first half. Hamza Mathlouthi and Samson Akinyoola in the space of 15 minutes as Zamalek went into the break 2-0 up.

After the break, Dreams' dream were ended after Mostafa Shalaby added Zamalek's third on the hour mark.

"We should have won the game in the first half. We could have scored FOUR. I'm not disappointed at all. But I would have wished we had gone to the final," said Karim Zito after the match.

"We never had this type of situation before. We didn't panic even after their first goal. You could see we pushed and created a lot of chances.

"It's a lack of experience. The boys only gave up after the third goal. I can do everything but if the players are not mentally stable there is nothing you can do."

Dreams FC will now switch their attention to the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup, where they have reached the semi-final. The FA Cup holders could return to Africa if they successfully defend their title.
