Asante Kotoko's midfield supremo, Kwame Bonsu is "proud" of his side's outstanding performance in their 2-1 win over Zesco United in the second group C game of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The midfielder, who produced a man of the match performance for the Porcupine Waarriors praised his teammates and want the Reds to take each game at a time.

Bonsu's strike in the 13th minute ricocheted Abdul Safiu for the opener at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before Emmanuel Gyemfi finished off a brilliant second after connecting to a Sogne Yacouba cross.

"Proud of all the lads, one step closer! Game by game ! Let’s go. Thanks for all the support," Bonsu tweeted.

The former IF Gafle midfielder and his teammates will next travel to Zambia to face Nkana FC, who also won their game on Wednesday against Al Hilal.

Zesco will remain top of the group but all four teams have three points after match day two.
