CAF Confederation Cup: Rahim Osumanu feels Zesco United were unlucky in defeat to Asante Kotoko

Zesco United's Ghanaian forward Rahim Osuman feels his side were unlucky in the 2-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Zambian Champions fell to their first defeat in the competition in Kumasi, after goals from Kwame Bonsu and Emmanuel Gyemfi handed the Porcupine Warriors all three points.

Osumanu climbed off the bench to grab a consolation for a wasteful Zesco side that missed a penalty in the first half.

The 23-year old was satisfied with his performance but feels they deserved better in the game on Wednesday.

“Personally, I was happy with my performance but the sad thing is we were not lucky as we could have gotten a draw.”He told footballmadeinghana.com

“Both teams played well, Kotoko is a great club, but we are Zesco and we don’t fear any team. Our aim is to go for the ultimate.”

Zesco United will next face Al Hilal of Sudan in Zambia, and will play Kotoko again in the final group game.
