Asante Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong says the team has to be clinical in the play-offs of the CAF Confederations Cup in other to eliminate Coton Sports de Garoua.

The Porcupine Warriors travel to Cameroon for the first leg of their encounter with the Elite One champions and Frimpong who scored the winner against Kariobangi Sharks says they have to avoid wastefulness in front of goal if they are to progress to the group stages.

"We will be playing against an African giant and must play at our best in both legs to be able to qualify ahead of them. I believe in our team but we need to be clinical in both legs to eliminate a side like Coton Sport because they are a difficult team to beat," Frimpong told Graphic Sports.

"We must work hard to earn a favourable result in our opening game away from home so we can finish the tie off at home. I believe we have a solid team to achieve that but must have the right attitude to go through," he added.

The Reds will host Coton Sport in Kumasi seven days after the first leg.
