The Deputy General Secretary of CAF Anthony Baffoe has congratulated Asamoah Gyan on his return to the Ghana Premier League after 17 years.
The 34-year old has joined Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities on a one-year deal from North East United in the just ended transfer window.
Gyan is reported to earn over $1 million in wages after signing for the Ghana Premier League side, according to his agent Samuel Anim Addo.
The all-time leading top scorer for the Black Stars makes a return to the domestic top-flight after 17 years.
The former Sunderland hitman played in the domestic top-flight for Liberty Professionals scoring 10 goals in 16 games before leaving the side to play in Europe.
Gyan after announcing his move to the Ghanaian side was congratulated by CAF’s Deputy General Secretary Anthony Baffoe as he wished him in his new challenge.

His signing has generated a lot of interest ahead of the start of the new season.
Asamoah Gyan is expected to join Legon Cities in camp next week ahead of the start of the new season on 13 November .
He has had stints with English side Sunderland, Rennes, Udinese, Al Ain, Shanghai SIPG, North East United, and Kayserispor.
