Caf inter-club competitions: Kotoko and Ashgold home venues approved by CAF

Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold have been given the go-ahead to host their continental matches at their preferred stadiums. 

Confederation of African Football (CAF) has approved the home venues of the two teams representing Ghana in the 2020/21 Caf inter-club competitions.

This is Caf Club Licensing Committee conducted thorough checks on the various venues submitted by both clubs. 

The Porcupine Warriors will play their Caf Champions League home matches at the Accra Sports Stadium - a venue they have been using since renovation works started at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi earlier this year.

Whereas, AshantiGold have been cleared to host heir Confederation Cup home games at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

Kotoko get their campaign underway this weekend in Mauritania where they face FC Nouadhibou while Ashantigold will host Burkinabe club Salitas FC.  

The two teams were chosen by the GFA to represent Ghana after 2019/20 season was cancelled due to coronavirus.
