CAF U20 Cup of Nations: We will not underrate Uganda- Black Satellites coach Karim Zito

Ghana U-20 coach Karim Zito has warned against complacency ahead of his side’s ultimate showdown against Uganda on Saturday.

The Black Satellites are aiming for a fourth Africa U-20 championship title when they face the Young Hippos on March 6, 2021 at the Stade Olympique in Nouakchott.

The three times champions are huge favourites for the title but coach Karim Zito says the Black Satellites ‘will not underrate’ their opponents, who are debutants at the competition.

“The fact that we have won this title before is in the past. Now we need to look at the present. We are keen to take this Cup and the biggest reason is because Ghanaian people trusted us and sent us here and it would only proper if we give them a gift especially on the day Ghana is celebrating its birthday,” he said at the prematch conference.

“In Africa now, there are no big names or small names. Each country is improving and we know Uganda will be a tough opponent. They beat Tunisia 4-1 and it was not luck. They played well and we will not underrate them,” he added.
