Ghana's CAF U23 Cup of Nations qualifiers opponents Gabon suffered a 3-0 thrashing to Congo in a friendly at the Stade Massamba Débat in Brazaville on Saturday.
Midfielder Gotran Ngouoniba scored the first goal for the hosts on the stroke of halftime before Prince Mouandza and Prince Obongo added the remainder in the second half.
The second leg of the of the international friendly will come off on Tuesday at the same venue in Brazaville as Gabon put finishing touches on their preparations ahead of their trip to Ghana.
The Black Meteors will host their Gabon in the first leg of the second qualifying round on Sunday 23rd March, 2019 at the Accra sports stadium.
The Panthers will host the return leg three days time in Libreville at Stade Augustin Monédan de Sibang.
