CAF Women's Champions League: WAFU Zone B reschedules qualifiers

The WAFU Zone B Women's Champions League has been rescheduled, Ghana's representatives Hasaacas Ladies have confirmed. 

The tournament which was expected to started on July 17, 2021 has now been moved to July 24 to August 4, 2021.

"Hasaacas Ladies FC has received correspondence from the West African Football Union Zone B that the upcoming women’s club championship has been rescheduled," wrote the club on their official website.

"The new tournament date starts from July 24, 2021 to August 4, 2021 at Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire. Aside the change in date, all other things stay unchanged.

"The Club will continue preparation ahead of the all-important quest to qualify to the CAF Women’s Champions League."

Hasaacas Ladies have been drawn in Group B of the zonal competition, alongside Nigerian Champions River Angels and AS Police of Niger.

The winners of the Zone will travel to Egypt for the main tournament later this year.

The Ghana National Women's League champions are the first club from the country to participate in the maiden edition of the African club competition.
