Cagliari set to beat Hellas Verona over the signing of Alfred Duncan

The tug-of-war between Cagliari and Hellas Verona over the signing of Ghana midfielder Alfred Duncan is tilting towards the former. 

Cagliari look set to sign the former Inter MIlan academy graduate following last minute doubts from the camp of Verona.

Hellas Verona are considering the fitness of midfielder Marco Benassi before investing in the Ghana international.

Meanwhile, Cagliari manager Eusebio Di Francesco wants to strengthen his midfielder by adding Duncan to Radja Niangolan.

According to reports Cagliari are at the final stages of negotiations with the tough tackling midfielder.

Alfred Duncan joined Fiorentina in January from Sassuolo but has struggled to settle due to injuries that have affected his career in the last few months.

This season the 27-year-old made in four appearances for La Viola.
