Calcio Catania chase the signature of Ghanaian forward Davis Mensah

Italian Serie C side Calcio Catania are set to swoop for Ghanaian forward Davis Mensah from US Triestina Calcio ahead of next season.

Catania are keen on landing the 29-year-old to augment their squad for the 2020/2021 campaign as they eye promotion to the Serie B.

Mensah scored twice in 29 appearances in all competitions for Triestina last season in the Italian third-tier.

Catania and Triestina have already in negotiations and it is at the advanced stage.

Mensah joined the Triestina in 2017 and has since been a key member of the team having made 96 appearances, netting 18 goals, and providing nine assists in the process.

He has one year left on his current contract with the Trieste-based club and this might force them to sell this summer rather than lose him for free at the end of the season.
