Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has hired a personal trainer as he works on breaking into the first team.

The winger has shown improvement since coming on as a substitute in the game against West Brom, where he scored as the Blues rallied from 3-0 down to draw 3-3.

He was handed a starting role in the league cup defeat to Tottenham in midweek.

According reports in the UK, the player with Ghanaian heritage has acquired the services of a specialist training guru, who he pays 1500 pounds a month to stay fit in a bid to be consistent.

The winger has also rented a park close to his hometown in London where he trains after his regular exercises at Chelsea.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has not hidden his desire of getting the best from the 19-year-old.

“Callum gave us everything I wanted,” Lampard told Chelsea's club website after the West Brom game.

“He gets his goal from giving us something different and that’s what he needs to do because that’s the impact he can have for us.

“It has to be consistent but he’s given himself a great platform to continue in that vein because he’ll be very important for us if he does.”
